Flight Simulators

FSTD P.C172.3
Our simulator is unique. It is a fully certified level I (PPL & CPL) and level II (IR) “Flight Simulation Training Device” (FSTD). Certificate No. DCAL/SFTC-01 Rev.02 It is approved for both VFR and IFR flight training towards the PPL, CPL and IR. It is also approved for instrument procedure checks (IPC). Flight hours in our FSTD can be logged and counted towards your licenses and ratings. It features an external screen with a 250-degree horizontal and almost 50-degree vertical field of view. It flight model is X-Plane12, the worlds most advanced flight simulation software. It’s screen and cabin are a close replicate of our C172s and were both designed and built by Khounta Sign a local company here in Vientiane. Students get to sit on an original Cessna airplane seat that has been modified to turn sound into vibrations, providing the pilot with an additional level of realism in which one can "feel" the engine running. The force feedback yoke and rudder pedals, from BRUNNER electronics Switzerland, emulate always changing aerodynamic forces exhibit on the control surfaces and with them on the controls in the cockpit. Our simulator compliments student training in the airplane. Students use it through all phases of flight training. They learn new procedures, how to handle flight emergencies and fly to airports in Laos, the region and internationally.

Procedures Trainer
Our procedures trainer features 3 curved screens and one touch screen for the instrument panel. Alternatively it can be set up to operate with a virtual reality head-set. It is very versatile and can emulates many airplanes from small single-engine planes like our C172s to larger airline-size planes like the Airbus 320. The simulation software is MFSM 2024. There is no limit our students can spend on this simulator, honing their skills, preparing for flights in the real airplanes, repeating actual flights in the sim or exploring something entirely new.
